It takes a specialized team of people to direct and implement all the levels of teacher preparation in our UTR program. It takes another specialized team to succeed at each Turnaround School. CPS   Chicago Public Schools continues to be a strong partner in recognizing and supporting the vital link of our pipeline of urban teachers to the success of one aspect of the district’s redesign initiatives for school transformation: the opening and operating of Turnaround Schools.

University Partners   AUSL has two important education partners in our UTR program. The training of our teachers would not be possible without their support and partnership.

National-Louis University (NLU) offers a Master of Arts in Teaching degree to the majority of our Residents.

The University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) offers a Master of Education in Instructional Leadership to our Residents who come to us already certified.
