Our mission to train teachers and transform low-performing schools requires dedicated partners at many different levels.
We rely on an innovative public/private sector structure to provide funding in support of our programs. This includes a close partnership with Chicago Public Schools, which shares in the investments to prepare teachers and transform schools.
AUSL is grateful for our extensive network of private funders that includes a strong local base of investors committed to fix Chicago’s failing schools, and a national base of public and private funders committed to helping define a replicable model for school transformation.
AUSL is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization incorporated in the State of Illinois; we rely on private contributions from corporations, foundations, and individuals in addition to funds from local, state, and federal sources to support our programs. Donations to AUSL are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
